Environmental factors, perspiration, oils and a host of other issues can put a lot on tension on your skin. This may result in a dry, dull skin that will impair the efficiency of most skin care products and even have a detrimental effect on your health. The Clarisonic Aria sonic cleansing brush we reviewed was designed especially to counter these factors.
Whether you have mildly sensitive skin, or are fighting against more serious conditions such as rosacea, the brush is designed to help hydrate and cleanse the skin more efficiently, while improving your appearance by reducing fine lines and wrinkles, and giving you a beautiful, youthful glow.
Why You Should Use a Clairsonic?
The Clarisonic Aria has a whole lot going for it. I’ve recently tried it out and the results were nothing short than amazing. Aside from the high end sonic technology it uses, the brush also comes with two replacement caps for added long term convenience, as well as an anti-aging serum that will do wonders for your skin.
The palm-sized device is extremely light and easy to maneuver, so you never have to worry about working with bulky devices that don’t even work right. It’s designed to improve your skin’s resilience in the face of unwanted oils and foreign elements that can clog your pores and do a whole lot of damage. I’ve also found that it’s great for the entire face, including the eye area, where it can perform extremely well despite the skin’s increased sensitivity. The brush can also be used on the brow, lips and forehead areas.
What I was really impressed by was how fast this excellent brush managed to alleviate my tense face muscles and hydrate my skin. It took only about half a minute, and the experience was quite refreshing. Also, after about three weeks I noticed a definite improvement in my skin’s elasticity, and it had already started looking a little more youthful and vibrant long before that.
The full benefits of the brush are advertised for a period of 8 weeks since you first start using it. While I’ve only been using it for about 6 weeks now, I already notice some of my smaller wrinkles fading and the eye area appearing to be much brighter than before.
How to Use a Clairsonic
The Clarisonic Aria’s quality sonic technology makes using it extremely easy. It’s important, first of all, to remember to charge the brush for about 24 hours before you first use it. Once that period is up, you’re good to go. Here are the major steps to take:
- First make sure you remove every trace of your eye makeup.
- Either moisten your skin before applying the cleanser, or apply it directly to a damp brush head.
- Turn on the cleansing brush, and select your preferred speed.
- Move the brush head in small circular motions around the four major areas of your face following the time prompts: 20 seconds each for the forehead, nose and chin areas, and 10 seconds for each cheek.
Always make sure to avoid pressing the brush head too hard against your skin. When you do, the motion will be impaired, and so will the Clairsonic’s efficiency.
Clairsonic Care Tips
With proper care, you can keep your Clairsonic brush in good order for years. The first thing you should keep track of is how often to replace the brush head. Generally it’s best to do it once every 3 months by simply removing the old brush head using a counter-clockwise motion, and replacing it with the new one. Twist the new brush head in a clockwise motion until it snaps into place.
Once a week you should also remove the handle and wash it using warm soapy water. Don’t worry about getting any water inside the handle and damaging the device, since it’s completely sealed and fully waterproof. Also, make sure you avoid using any kinds of abrasive cleaners and chemicals to wash either the brush head or the handle.
